Zuzic pounded a match-high 20 kills and added 12 digs in
leading Oral Roberts University to a 3-0 (30-13, 31-29, 30-15) win
over Mid-Continent Conference foe UMKC, Friday at the ORU Aerobics
Center.
The win is ORU's fifth straight and
pushes the Golden Eagles (10-9, 3-1 Mid-Con) over the .500 mark for
the first time this season.
Zuzic wasn't the only Golden Eagle
with a strong all-round match. Fellow sophomore Maja
Devic had 18 kills and three blocks; sophomore Kim
Snow added 11 kills and apair of blocks, and senior libero
Becky Dreher added 14 digs. Brittany
Arnold guided the offense with 34 assists.
Vanessa Portela led the Kangaroos
(3-14, 1-4) with seven kills.
The Golden Eagles return to action
when they host Western Illinois, 5 p.m., Saturday.
