Volleyball Sweeps Oakland, 3-0

TULSA, Okla. ?€" Ori Zuzic?€™s (Porec, Croatia) 14-kill, 15-dig
performance led the Oral Roberts University volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-6,
30-13, 30-11) victory over Mid-Con foe Oakland, Friday night at the Aerobics
Center. With the win, the Golden Eagles remained unbeaten at home during the

match-high .609. Thais Parada (Sao Paulo, Brazil) chipped in
with a double-double of her own with 10 kills and 37 assists.

ORU took control of the match from the very beginning, turning four Oakland
(1-20, 0-8) errors into a quick 5-0 advantage. The lead would continue to grow
from there, as three Maja Devic (Split, Croatia) kills fueled an
11-1 run to put the home side ahead 19-3 en route to their 30-6 game one win.

The Golden Eagles hit .424 as a team in game one, while also forcing nine Golden
Grizzly errors ?€" with just two kills - as the visitors hit -.194.

totaling 17 kills without a single error on 39 attempts. They led from start to
finish as well, jumping ahead with an early 9-2 lead. The home side then led by
double digits most of the way to a 30-13 win and two games to none lead.

The ORU offense saved their best performance for last, totaling 20 kills while
hitting a blistering .533 in game number three. Zuzic kills accounted for six of
the game?€™s first nine tallies as Carol Garbato (Sao Paulo,
Brazil) served the home side to a 9-0 lead. Their lead would grow to 11 points
before a 9-1 spurt put ORU ahead 26-7. OU would fight off game point once, but
their deficit was too large to overcome as the Golden Eagles followed up with a
Jackie Oliveira (Minas Gerais, Brazil) kill for a 30-11 match
clinching win.

The ORU defense held Oakland to a -.106 attack percentage on the night, forcing
nearly twice as many errors (26) as Golden Grizzly kills (14). The home side,
