TULSA The Golden Eagles volleyball team will
look to gain control of the conference when they take on league
leader South Dakota State on Friday night, followed by a Saturday
showdown with North Dakota State. Both matches will begin at 7 p.m
Cooper Aerobics Center.
ORU (10-8, 5-1 Summit League) is coming off
of a 1-1 week after losing their first conference match of the
season to Western Illinois in a tough five-game set. They followed
that up with a win over the Kangaroos of UMKC to earn their fifth
conference win of the season.
The Golden Eagles are catching South Dakota
State at a perfect time. The Jackrabbits (15-6, 6-1 Summit League),
who had been on a 13-match winning streak, are currently on the
downslide after losing three-straight matches to Xavier, IPFW and
Missouri State last week.
North Dakota State comes to the Cooper Aerobics Center
with a 13-5 overall record and a 5-2 Summit League record, which
currently places them in third place in the conference. The Bison
finished last week also with a 1-1 record, defeating Oakland three
games to one before falling to Central Michigan in three-straight
games.
Live statistics and live streaming will be
available for both matches through www.orugoldeneagles.com.
