Peralta Earns Summit League Defensive Player of the Week Honors

TULSA – Oral Roberts University men's soccer player Irving Peralta (Tulsa, Okla.) was named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for the second consecutive week.

The junior goalkeeper only allowed one score in 185 minutes during two contests last week. Peralta tallied three saves in a 4-1 victory against Northeastern State on Tuesday for his second victory of the season, and followed with a shutout in 110 minutes against IPFW on Sunday. Dating back to the 1-0 overtime victory against No. 30 Oakland, Peralta has only allowed one goal in 285 minutes in the net.

In 530 minutes of play, Peralta has posted a save percentage of .853 and a goals against average of 0.85, which rank first and third, respectively, in the Summit League.

The Golden Eagles face Eastern Illinois at 4 p.m. today in Charleston, Ill.
