TULSA - The Oral Roberts University volleyball team posted a 3-1
victory (25-21, 25-14, 21-25, 25-19) over South Dakota State on
Friday at the ORU Aerobics Center. The Golden Eagles improved to
11-14 overall and 7-9 in Summit League play, while the Jacks fell
to 9-16 on the season and 8-8 in conference action.
Serena Cate (Yorba Linda,
Calif.) posted a double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs to lead
the Golden Eagles to the win. Cate only committed one error for a
team-high .393 hitting percentage.
Jocelyn Swier (Ripon,
Calif.) added 11 kills against only two errors while
Tatum Fredeen
(Bentonville, Ark.) chipped in 10 kills.
Juliane Vieira (Ribeirao
Preto, Brazil) moved into sixth place all-time at ORU in career
assists by posting a game-high 42 helpers, while also securing
seven kills and seven digs.
Cassidy Holmes (Tulsa,
Okla.) paced the Golden Eagles with a game-high 23 digs.
The Golden Eagles return to action at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday to host
North Dakota State in the season finale.
