ELMHURST, Ill. - Kevi
Luper was named the Summit League Women's Basketball Co-Player
of the Week along with Oakland's Melissa Jeltema, the conference
office announced on Tuesday.
Luper has now earned five Summit League weekly awards this season,
including a conference-record four straight from Nov. 17 to Dec.
8.
The freshman guard averaged 28.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists
and 2.5 steals per game as ORU dropped contests to No. 5 Baylor and
Missouri State last week.
Against Baylor, Luper tallied 32 points off 12-of-25 shooting from
the field and an 8-of-9 effort from the free throw line, while also
pulling down eight boards and grabbing three steals.
On Saturday against Missouri State, the Adair, Okla., native
tallied a team-high 24 points and five assists to go with four
rebounds.
Luper continues to lead the country with 27.3 points and 4.7
steals per game.
The Golden Eagles travel to face Oklahoma State at 7:00 p.m.
tonight.
