TULSA-Oral Roberts men's basketball student-athlete
Mikey Manghum (Derby,
England) has been ruled temporarily ineligible by the
university.
Although he has been certified as academically eligible by the NCAA
Clearinghouse Manghum, a walk-on guard, has yet to receive the
necessary amateurism certification the NCAA requires of all
student-athletes. As a result Manghum will be held out of
competition until that process is complete, but he will be allowed
to practice.
Manghum was added to the active roster on Monday after three
players suffered season-ending injuries and another left the team.
Manghum played three minutes in Monday's game at UALR. ORU has
self-reported this violation to the NCAA.
The Golden Eagles (3-4) host Summit League foe UMKC, 7:05 p.m,
Thursday at Mabee Center.
