Tulsa-The red-hot Oral Roberts volleyball team locked up their
fourth-straight conference win, posting a 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-14,
25-20) victory over the UMKC Kangaroos Sunday afternoon at the
Aerobics Center.
Serena
Cate highlighted the ORU offensive attack with 11 kills on a
blazing .476 hitting clip, while chipping in seven digs and a solo
block in the victory.
As a team, the Golden Eagles hit .291 on the afternoon and held the
visiting Kangaroos to a cool .159 percentage.
Tatum
Fredeen led all players with 13 kills, while Laura
Taylor dished out a game-best 21 assists for ORU.
With the win, ORU improves to 10-6 in conference and remains tied
with South Dakota State for the fourth and final spot in the Summit
League tournament.
It all boils down to the final weekend of regular season action for
the Golden Eagles, as the ladies travel to Brookings to battle the
South Dakota State Jack Rabbits this coming Friday. Game time is
slated for 7:00 p.m.
