Box Score
TULSA, Okla.-- The Golden Eagles will
try and bounce back from their shutout loss to Oakland as they face
IPFW on Sunday afternoon.
ORU (6-9-1, 3-3 Summit League) will look
to snap their eight-game winless road streak against IPFW and stay
alive in the hunt for the conference tournament. A loss will not
eliminate the Golden Eagles, but it will make it very difficult
going forward with just two conference games remaining. ORU is led
by senior Maria
Grados with eight goals. Grados, along with the rest of the
team, has struggled with injuries all season. The team will likely
dress just 12 players on Sunday after losing senior Anna
Van Valin, Junior Allison
Hall, and sophomore Megan
Giles for the season due to injuries. Freshman Helen
Erb now leads the team in saves with 39, while allowing 12
goals on the season.
IPFW (4-9-0, 1-4-0 Summit League) is
coming off their first conference win against Southern Utah, and
they will be looking to try and end ORU's chances at a qualifying
for the conference tournament. The mastodons are led by junior Lisa
Underwood with five goals and one assist. Freshman Krysta Hendrick,
senior Kristen McFadden and senior Jessica Schein have combined for
53 saves and 22 goals for the Mastodons. McFadden leads the team
with 38 saves.
