Luper Grabs Second Player of the Week Honor

Box Score ELMHURST, Ill. -

Oral Roberts University junior guard Kevi Luper has been named Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the League office announced today. The weekly honor is the second of the season for Luper and the 12th of her career.

With her 12th career Summit League Player of the Week award, Luper ties former ORU standout Elisha Turek (2003-07) for the most in League history.

The Adair native averaged 20.5 points and 4.5 steals per game last week, leading the Golden Eagles to a 1-1 record. On Nov. 22 against Houston, Luper scored 24 points and picked six steals as ORU routed the defending Conference USA champions, 76-60. Four days later against Missouri State, the junior had 17 points and three steals in an 85-79 loss.

For the season, Luper averages 25.3 points and 4.5 steals per game. She leads the Summit League in both categories, and she ranks 3rd nationally in scoring and 7th in steals.

Luper and the Golden Eagles are 5-1 on the season. ORU faces Tulsa in the annual Mayor's Cup game on Tuesday night, with tip-off scheduled for 7 pm CT.
