CONWAY, Ark. - A late Missouri State goal tilts
the scoreboard in their favor on Saturday as the Bears top the Oral
Roberts men's soccer team in Conway, Ark., 1-0.
With the match tied at one in the 82nd minute,
Missouri State's Matt Bray put the ball in the net on a corner that
slipped through the hands of Ryan
Grashik, the Golden Eagle keeper.
The game was called shortly after the goal was scored in the
84th minute following a lengthy weather delay.
Grashik was credited with two saves in the loss on Saturday.
Leading the way for the Golden Eagles on the offensive end of
the field was Tyler
Hill and Johnny
Chavez who had a pair of shots each. Griffith Pointdexter added
the fifth shot in the contest for the Golden Eagles.
ORU was outshot by the Bears in the contest, 17-5, and was not
credited with a shot on goal.
The search for win number one for the Golden Eagles (0-2-0) will
continue in Arkansas on Monday as they play visitor to the
tournament host, Central Arkansas. The match is scheduled to begin
at approximately 2:30 p.m., following the Missouri State versus
Lipscomb match.
