double-doubles Friday night as the Oral Roberts University
volleyball team took a 3-1 win at South Dakota State in Summit
League action.
After dropping the first set to the Jackrabbits, ORU rallied to
sweep the next three sets and take a 3-1 win over the league's last
place squad. The win gives ORU the opportunity to clinch the fourth
seed in the Summit League tournament with a win on Saturday over
North Dakota State.
Laura
Milos posted 21 kills and has recorded at least 20 kills in
each of her last three matches. The freshman added 15 digs to post
her fifth double-double of the season.
Senior Sara
Pope continued to give the Golden Eagles a boost when they need
it and also finished with a double-double. Pope picked up 13 kills
and 14 digs and was joined by Nika
Mostahinic who tallied 11 kills and 11 digs.
The Turning Point
In the second set, SDSU committed six straight errors as the 6-0
run helped ORU tie the set at 12-12. Three points later, a Sara
Pope killed again tied the match at 14-14 and sparked a 7-2 run
that turned into a 25-22 set win for the Golden Eagles.
The momentum from the second set carried into the next two sets
for ORU as they pulled out 25-18 and 25-17 wins to sweep the final
three sets.
The Leaders
Oral Roberts: Laura
Milos posted a double-double with 21 kills and 15 digs. Lucija
Bojanjac finished with 49 assists in the win.
SDSU: Wagner Larson finished with 10 kills for
SDSU.

Bojanjac finished with 49 assists and crossed the 1,201 assist
plateau for the season. She moves into 10th on the ORU
single-season list passing Laura
Taylor (1,189) from 2012 and sits behind Kristen Dorsey's 1,266
from 1986 for 9th.

Pope recorded her 9th double-double of the season and 12th of
her career.

Cox added five blocks Friday night and has 12 in her last three
