LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Denell Henderson scored the
team's first 10 points of the game and notched his first career
double-double, but the rest of the Oral Roberts University men's
basketball team struggled to find an offensive rhythm as the Golden
Eagles fell 76-52 to Louisiana Tuesday night in the MGM Grand Main
event.
ORU (1-3) shot just 26 percent for the game and missed 10 free
throws in the loss. Henderson finished with 15 points and a
career-best 10 rebounds, including seven offensive rebounds for
ORU.
Kasey Shepherd gave UL (2-3) the spark it needed off the bench,
hitting 7-of-8 from the field, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range
en route to a 22-point effort.

Turning Point
ORU cut it to an eight point game with 17:17 to go,
but three consecutive layups sparked a 6-0 run. Included in that
run was an offensive rebound off a missed free throw that led to
Johnathan Stove's layup to make it 43-29 with 15:58 to play.
Individual Leaders
Oral Roberts: Denell
Henderson finished with a team-high 15 points and 10
rebounds. The 10 rebounds were a career high and earned the senior
his first double-double. Korey Billbury also hit
double figures with 13 points. Obi Emegano matched
his career high with seven rebounds, while Adrion Webber also had
seven boards, the most of his career.
Louisiana: Kasey Shepherd had a game-high 22 points,
while former Oklahoma State Cowboy Brian Williams
had a team-high seven rebounds to go with his 11 points.
Inside the Box Score

a 14-11 advantage in offensive rebounds.

- Tuesday marked the second game in a row in which ORU has shot
less than 30 percent for the game. ORU was 9-43 (.209) against
Oregon State and connected on just 15-of-56 (.267) against
Louisiana.
- ORU was able to force 21 turnovers, but was only able to turn
them into 10 points
- Henderson (10), Adrion Webber (7) and Obi Emegano (7) all either
