MANHATTAN, Kan. - A second half lead slipped away from the Oral Roberts University women's basketball team Sunday afternoon as Kansas State escaped with a 53-47 victory in non-conference action.

The Golden Eagles built a 14 point lead just before halftime, but a K-State tip-in as time expired cut the ORU lead to 28-18 at the half. ORU built their first half lead thanks to six three-pointers, but finished the game 7-of-14 from behind the arc.

The Wildcats rallied in the second half shooting 48 percent from the floor, as it was the Golden Eagles who fell cold offensively. ORU shot just 22 percent in the second half, while K-State grabbed nine steals forced 10 turnovers.

Atoe' Jackson and Jayden Oliver led the Golden Eagles with 10 points each. Oliver finished 3-of-6 from behind the three-point line while Jackson pulled down seven rebounds.

The Turning Point
Kansas State was held scoreless for the first three minutes of the second half, but responded with a 14-2 run to take a 43-37 lead with 5:22 left in the game. The Golden Eagles were unable to make up the difference down the stretch, as they made just one three-pointer and shot 22 percent from the field after the half.

The Leaders
Oral Roberts: Atoe' Jackson and Jayden Oliver led the Golden Eagles on offense with 10 points each. Vicky McIntyre finished with 10 rebounds and two blocks.
Kansas State: Breanna Lewis had a game-high 22 points.

Inside the Box Score
- ORU did not attempt a free-throw in the first half and finished the game 6-of-10 from the line.
- The Golden Eagles out-rebounded Kansas State 44-32 and it was just the second loss for ORU when leading in rebounds.
