McIntyre scored a season-high 32 points however a second half
comeback by the Oral Roberts University women's basketball team was
stopped by South Dakota as the Golden Eagles fell 93-70 Saturday
afternoon.
League leading South Dakota built a 41-23 first half lead and
held off ORU in the second half despite the Golden Eagles shooting
66 percent from the field. The Golden Eagles settled down after 11
first half turnovers, but the Coyotes made nine three-pointers en
route to the Summit League victory.
McIntyre posted her 16th double-double of the season adding 17
rebounds to go with her 32 points and five blocks. The Omaha native
finished 16-of-23 from the field as Jordan
Doyle was the only other Golden Eagle to finish in double
figures with 15 points.
Raeshel Contreras knocked down four the Coyotes nine
three-points to finish with 19 points. USD was led by Kate
Liveringhouse who scored 21 points.

McIntyre knocked down a free throw line jumper to cut the South
Dakota lead to 11 points with 12:38 left in the game; however,
South Dakota responded with a 9-0 run and never looked back as they
took a 64-45 lead.

McIntyre tallied her 16th double-double of the season with a
season-high 32 points and 17 rebounds. The senior also added five
blocks.
South Dakota: Kate Liveringhouse
scored 21 points and Raeshel Contreras added 19 points on 4-of-7
shooting from behind the three-point line.

- McIntyre was the first Golden Eagle to
score 30 points in a game since Dorottya
Balla scored 30 against Houston Baptist January 2, 2014.
- The Golden Eagles shot 54 percent in the loss and have now shot
47 percent or better in four of their last five games including
three over 50 percent.
- It was the first time since a loss on December 14 at Kansas
State only two Golden Eagles scored in double figures.

- ORU falls below the .500 mark in
Summit League play at 4-5 as South Dakota holds a one-game lead
over South Dakota State at 7-2.
- Vicky
McIntyre's 17 boards places her third on the ORU single-season
list and fourth on the Summit League single-season list. Her 336 is
just 29 away from Amy Williams (1989-90) ORU record and 26 shy of
Oberon Pitterson (1993-94) of Western Illinois Summit League
record.
- McIntyre added five blocks to give her 107 on the season and 12
away from the ORU single-season record and 30 away from Brooke
McAfee's (2005-06; IUPUI) Summit League record.
- McIntyre's 16 double-doubles this season is also just three shy
of the ORU single-season record held by Vivan Herron (1988-89) and
Elisha Turek (2006-07).
