The Short Story: The Oral Roberts women's tennis team were unable to rally Wednesday falling, 7-0, to South Dakota at the Sanford Sports Complex.
The Golden Eagles dropped their second straight match despite strong play from the middle of the lineup.
Petya Simeonova fell at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) dropping the tie breaker to Milica Pavlovic. Simeonova is now 9-9 on the season in singles action.
Both Valentina Gisbert and Brenda Mercado were stopped as well from extending their singles win total. Gisbert and Mercado each sit at a team high 10 wins.
Up Next: The Golden Eagles close the regular season Saturday at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa against IUPUI. Action is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
