SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – A tough game ended with a victory for the Golden Eagles.  ORU scored in both halves to beat the Incarnate Word Cardinals.

Matthew Rogers put the Golden Eagles up 1-0 at the 31 minute mark with a header goal. Santiago Riveros made the assist off a free kick 30 yards away.

Isaac Fraley scored the second goal for ORU and put the team up 2-0 at the 69 minute mark. Santiago Riveros was credited with his second assist.

Inside the Box Score
- ORU was out-shot 18-7 in the match, but the Golden Eagles defense held and did not allow a goal.

- Parker Johnson played all 90 minutes and made five saves.

- A physical game led to multiple cautions and ejections. Two ORU players were assessed yellow cards, Cameron Mortazavi at the 34 minute mark and Santiago Riveros at the 49 minute mark. ORU's Rafael Rivera was given a red card at the 48 minute mark.

- Incarnate Word's Fernando Laverde received yellow cards at the 69 and 74 minute marks. He was then given a red card after receiving his second yellow card.
