EDINBURG, Texas. – The Oral Roberts women's soccer team opened the 2018 season with a 1-0 win over Portland State Friday evening in the UTRGV Tournament in Edinburg, Texas.

In the final minute of the first half, McKenzie Edwards connected with the back of the net inside the goalie box off of a Martha Helsee cross. Edwards was credited with her first goal of the season and career. Helsee earned her first career assist.

Ryliegh Bohnenstiehl started the game as goalie and played the first 45 minutes. Bohnenstiehl made two saves and was credited with the victory. Reagan Richins played the remaining 45 minutes and made her first career save.
