TULSA, Okla. – Three Golden Eagles scored in double digits as the ORU women's basketball team closed out the non-league slate with an 80-40 win over Rogers State on New Year's Eve at the Mabee Center.
ORU welcomed redshirt senior, Jentry Holt, back to the court Tuesday afternoon after the graduate transfer from Oklahoma State played her first game in a Golden Eagle uniform. Holt's presence was made known early as she scored four points in the opening quarter. The Golden Eagles held the lead and closed out the first 10 minutes with a 16-13 lead.
A 10-0 run in the second extended the Golden Eagle lead as the defense held Rogers State scoreless for three minutes. Katie Kirkhart scored all seven of her points in the game in the second period. Kirkhart scored a jumper as time expired in the half to put ORU up 38-22.
The best quarter defensively for ORU came in the third as the Golden Eagles held Rogers State to five total points. The Hillcats connected on two field goals in the third as ORU forced seven turnovers and capitalized with 12 points. Keni Jo Lippe scored eight of her 19 points in the third.
Regan Schumacher went 3-for-3 from the field in the fourth and scored six points. The 6-foot-2 junior led the team with 10 rebounds on the day grabbed four in the fourth. Schumacher's 10 rebounds ties her career high, but gives her a season high in the stat category. She also had a season high seven points. The Golden Eagles finished with a 54 percent shooting average and an 80-40 victory to close out non-league play.

Oral Roberts: Keni Jo Lippe recorded 19 points and Regan Schumacher had 10 rebounds.
Rogers State: Vanessa Gajdosova and Bailey Kliewer each scored nine points and Kliewer also grabbed eight rebounds.
