The Golden Eagles opened the 2020-21 campaign with 12 newcomers on the roster that included eight freshman. The Golden Eagles scored first with a pair of free-throws by Regan Schumacher. After ORU took a 6-4 lead, Arkansas came back with a 17-2 run in the first and led 17-6 after the first period. Foul trouble plagued the young Golden Eagles as ORU was forced to put five freshman on the court for three-plus minutes in the first half. The Razorbacks went on a 15-2 run in the second and went into halftime with a 45-19 advantage. Faith Paramore recorded eight points in the first half going two-for-three from the three-point line.

ORU saw more success in the second half getting to the free-throw line 16 times, but plagued with turnovers, the Golden Eagles couldn't catch up after Arkansas converted with 30 points off turnovers Wednesday. Valuable minutes were played by Golden Eagle newcomers as Ariel Walker played 27 minutes and Paramore had 32. ORU shot 46 percent in the final quarter of play and managed 26 points in the paint in the 96-49 loss to the No. 14 ranked team in the nation.
