TULSA, Okla. – The home opener for Oral Roberts men's basketball is slated for 7 p.m. Saturday night as the Golden Eagles host Rogers State at the Mabee Center.

Scouting the Opponent
• The Golden Eagles hold a 2-0 record against Rogers State in the all-time series playing at the Mabee Center in 2016 and 2019, most recently a 73-60 win for ORU last November.
 
• The Hillcats, playing as an exhibition Saturday, have dropped both games this season against elite programs at the NCAA Division II level, including an 86-78 loss to No. 1 Northwest Missouri State at home last weekend.
 
• RSU newcomer Devin Pullum leads the team averaging 16.5 points per game, while Destin Eke (12.0) and Brewster Peacock (11.0) also score in double digits for the team from Claremore.

• ORU suffered a 91-64 loss on the road at Missouri in its season opener Wednesday despite a combined 35 points from Max Abmas (18) and Kevin Obanor (17).
 
• The Golden Eagles attempted 35 3-pointers against the Tigers, but connected on just seven shooting 20 percent from distance.
 
• ORU ranked ninth in the NCAA a season ago for fewest team turnovers and set a program record giving the ball away just 321 times. The Golden Eagles won the turnover battle against Missouri committing 15 compared to 17 by the Tigers.
 
• Obanor and Abmas earned Preseason All-Summit League honors as Obanor landed on the first team and Abmas on the second team. The two are ORU's top returning scorers combining to average 26.8 points per game in 2019-20.
 
• ORU was picked to finish second in The Summit League Preseason Poll behind only defending regular season co-champion South Dakota State.
 
• The Golden Eagles have eight new faces for 2020-21 with two grad transfers (RJ Glasper, Justin Lovvorn), two junior college transfers (Sheldon Stevens, Kareem Thompson) and four freshmen (Jonathan Alexandre, Jamie Bergens, Nate Clover III, Ismael Plet).
