TULSA, Okla. – Manaya Jones and Regan Schumacher each recorded double-doubles in the Oral Roberts women's basketball, 66-56, win over Tarleton State Thursday evening at the Mabee Center.
 
Redshirt-senior transfer, Manaya Jones, scored her first bucket of her ORU career to give the Golden Eagles the first points of the game and an early lead. ORU then fell behind, by five, but rallied back with a 13-2, run to take a six-point advantage in the second quarter. The Golden Eagles closed out the first half with a 34-28 lead. ORU held a 40-plus shooting percentage throughout the first half. Tierney Coleman led with seven first half points.
 
The Texans took a lead with 7:20 left in the game, making it their first lead since the first half. Ariel Walker hit a three-point bucket the next possession to give ORU the lead back. After widening the scoring margin, the Golden Eagles took their largest lead of the game by 10 with one minute to play.  Following the lead, the team then went up by 12 with 45 seconds remaining and closed out with a 66-56 advantage after Gem Summers closed out the game with a pair of free-throws.
 
For the fourth time this season, Regan Schumacher was the team's leading rebounder. The senior center secured her fourth career double-double and second of the season with five minutes to play. She recorded career highs in points and rebounds, scoring 16 points and grabbing 15 boards. Manaya Jones also secured her first double-double as a Golden Eagle in her first outing. Jones scored 12 points going 5-for-7 from the field and added 10 rebounds. After missing three games, due to injury, Keni Jo Lippe returned to the starting lineup and scored 13 points with six rebounds.

Oral Roberts: Regan Schumacher led the team with 16 points and 15 rebounds.
