TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team returns home for a non-conference matinee Saturday at 2 p.m. against Southwestern Christian live on the ORU Sports Network.
The Golden Eagles have won 16 of their last 17 homes games inside the Mabee Center dating back to the 2018-19 campaign and look to continue that trend Saturday.

Scouting the Opponent
• The Golden Eagles own a 1-0 record in the all-time series against Southwestern Christian claiming a 99-45 win at home Nov. 25 last season.
• The Eagles are coming off back-to-back losses at Texas Wesleyan and USAO, but are averaging 95.3 points per game thanks to a 120-point outburst in their season-opening win over Bacone.
• Ron Washington (19.7) and Luiz Machado Jr. (19.3) combine for 39 points per game to pace the high-scoring SCU offense, while Khristien White (15.7) and Charles Dickson (12.7) also average double-digit scoring per game. Washington also leads the team in rebounding at 7.7 a contest.

• ORU connected on a season-best 16 3-pointers at Oklahoma State in a five-point loss Tuesday, 83-78, getting a career-high 33 points and nine assists from sophomore
Max Abmas and a 16-point, 12-rebound double-double by
Kevin Obanor.
• The Golden Eagles are seventh in the NCAA hitting 12.2 3-pointers per outing getting 4.5 per game from Abmas, who sits sixth in the nation individually.
• ORU continues to lead the league converting 77 percent of its free-throw attempts to rank 33rd in the nation as four players are shooting 80 percent or better at the foul line.
• Obanor (First Team) and Abmas (Second Team) earned Preseason All-Summit League honors and are ORU's top scorers combining for 55 percent of the team's offense. Abmas ranks ninth in the NCAA in points per game (24.0) leading The Summit League. Obanor is third in the conference in scoring (19.5) and paces the league averaging 9.8 rebounds per game.
• ORU was picked to finish second in The Summit League Preseason Poll behind only defending regular season co-champion South Dakota State.
• The Golden Eagles have eight new faces for 2020-21 with two grad transfers (
