TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team forced overtime Saturday evening at the Mabee Center, but fell 101-93 to Kansas City in game one of weekend series.
ORU got off to a hot start going 5-for-7 from the field before the first media timeout. Kansas City took a three point lead with two minutes left in the first quarter. The Golden Eagles took the advantage back with a 22-20 lead at the end of the first after
Keni Jo Lippe led the team with eight points to start the game. Both teams shot better than 50 percent from the field.
Kansas City went up by as much as seven in the second until the Golden Eagles came back to tie the game.
Gem Summers hit a three-point bucket as time expired to made a 46-46 game at the break. Both teams shot 60-plus percent in the first half of play.
After trailing by five early in the third, ORU came back to tie the game with 5 minutes left in the period. ORU then went on a 12-2 run to lead by as much as 12 early in the fourth. With 5:30 left in the fourth, the Golden Eagles led 77-65. Kansas City then went on a 13-1 run in the fourth to tie the game 78-78 with 2:24 left. After trailing by two,
Camryn Hill sent the game into overtime with an eight foot jumper with 13 seconds left. In overtime, Kansas City got up by as much as 10 as the Roos were led by Naomie Alnatas' 45 point outing going 16-for-25 from the field and 6-for-10 from long range with seven free-throws.

Keni Jo Lippe led the team with a season high 24 points and seven rebounds.
Kansas City: Naomie Alnatas recorded 45 points and Paige Bradford grabbed 11 rebounds.
