TULSA, Okla. – Keni Jo Lippe scored a season high 30 points as the Oral Roberts women's basketball team defeated Kansas City, 71-67, in overtime Sunday afternoon at the Mabee Center.

After trailing early by four, the Golden Eagles went on a 6-0 run to retake the lead in the first. The Roos took a 17-15 lead at the end of the first after shooting 39 percent from the field with three, three-point buckets.
 
A five-plus minute scoring drought for the Golden Eagles put them in a seven point deficit late in the second. Keni Jo Lippe broke the drought with a bucket with one minute to go in the half to pull to within five, 28-23, at the break. Lippe had nine first half points and collectively the Golden Eagles shot 27.6 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes.
 
Back-to-back three-point buckets by Ariel Walker and Camryn Hill brought ORU to within one early in the third. Lippe hit her second triple of the day to give the Golden Eagles a two point lead with eight minutes to play in the third. ORU's 20-5, 11-2 run that continued from the first half, led to a 43-35 advantage with two minutes to play in the third. The Golden Eagles out-scored Kansas City 20-9 in the third holding the Roos to 2-for-16 from the field.
 
Kansas City went on a 7-0 to run to pull to within one. The Roos then took a 51-50 lead with 5:40 left to play in the game. The Golden Eagles went on a 6-0 run to go up by five with two minutes to play. The Roos hit back-to-back three-point buckets to take a one point lead with a minute left. Lippe hit a pair of free-throws to put ORU back up by one with 43 seconds left. With 14.4 seconds remaining, Lippe hit 1-of-2 free-throws to put ORU back up, 61-59. Kansas City's Paige Bradford tied the game with 2.5 seconds remaining and sent the game into overtime tied, 61-61, for the second in back-to-back days.
 
With a pair of free-throws by Regan Schumacher and a three-point shot by Hill, the Golden Eagles jumped ahead by five with 3:30 left in the overtime period. Tyaija Coleman put ORU up by six with 26 seconds to play. KC's Taylor Larson put the Roos back to within three with 16 seconds to play. Down the stretch, Schumacher put ORU back up by four as the final score was 71-67. She had 18 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth career double-double and fourth of the season.

Oral Roberts: Keni Jo Lippe led the team with a season high 30 points and Regan Schumacher had 10 rebounds.
Kansas City: Jada Mickens scored 17 with eight rebounds. Jonaie Johnson also grabbed eight boards.
