OMAHA, Neb.  – On a chilly afternoon in Omaha, the Oral Roberts women's soccer team (4-8-2, 1-4-1 Summit) saw their offense go cold, falling to Omaha (6-5-2, 3-1-0 Summit) by a score of 1-0. The Golden Eagles fought until the final whistle, coming up just short.
 
After a scoreless first half, the Mavericks opened the scoring in the 60th minute. Sophia Green managed to find the net to give Omaha a 1-0 lead in the early going of the second half.
 
The Golden Eagles struggled to find a rhythm offensively on Friday afternoon, landing just four shots on goal. Throughout the second half, ORU had several chances to even the score but a stout Omaha defense continued to create issues on the attack.
 
In the final minute of action, Martha Helsee and Ashlyn Williams both attempted shots to even the score. Helsee's attack was blocked and Williams' shot found the arms of the Omaha keeper. Following the save by Omaha, the final seven second ran off the clock and the Mavericks escaped with the 1-0 victory.
 
Notables

• Jordyn Blackburn, Sophie Nash, Kennedy Langebartels, and Kristi Keller were all credited with landing a shot on goal.
• Louisa Ramsauer made four stops on the afternoon, including a free kick with less than four minutes to play to keep ORU alive.
• Michele Bonifacio and Gabrielle Abbey each played the full 90 minutes of action.
• ORU was outshot 20-7 in the contest.
