TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's soccer team scored a season high four goals to earn a 4-1 win over Central Arkansas Tuesday evening at the Case Soccer Complex.
In the second minute of the game, Central Arkansas took an early 1-0 lead. Ole Kjoerholt scored from six yards out from the center on an assist by Jonathan Randall.
Giovanni Herrera scored the equalizer in the 14
th minute to make it a 1-1 match. Herrera connected with the back of the net on a header goal from 10 yards out from the left side. It was Herrera's first goal of the season and he was assisted by
Logan Bellone and
Dante Brigida.
In the 19
th minute,
Felipe D'Agostini put ORU up, 2-1, on a free kick from 20 yards out. D'Agostini's free kick was centered on goal just outside the penalty area. It was his second of the season and was unassisted.
Juan Arias made it a 3-1 game when he connected on a penalty kick in the 66
th minute. It was Arias' first goal of the season. ORU is 2-for-2 in penalty kicks this season.
Logan Bellone recorded his first goal in an ORU uniform in the 85
th minute to put ORU up 4-1. Bellone's goal came off a D'Agostini corner kick from the left side. D'Agostini was credited with the assist.
