About the Opponent

• The Golden Hurricane were picked to finish ninth in the American Athletic preseason poll. The team is currently 3-0 to start the season. In their last game, they beat Florida A&M, 79-57.
   
• TU returns eight letterwinners from last season, including four starters, and welcomed four newcomers.
   
• Freshman forward Temira Poindexter began her collegiate career with a 23-point performance against Duquesne. She had eight field goals, including two three-pointers, while hitting all five of her free throw attempts. Poindexter also added five rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes.

• ORU will face Tulsa in its third game of the season. The Golden Eagles look for their first win of the season.
   
• It will be the 44th time the two teams have faced each other in program history. ORU holds the all-time record, 33-10.

• Senior Keni Jo Lippe was named to the preseason All-Summit League Second Team. She averages 12.3 points per game so far this season. In her career, she has totaled 1,495 points and 600-plus rebounds. She is the 21^st member of the ORU women's basketball 1,000-point club.
   
• ORU adds five newcomers to the roster. Two freshmen, Tirzah and Trinity Moore, and three transfers, Hannah Cooper, Delaney Nix and Katie Scott.
   
• Head Coach Misti Cussen is in her 10th season at the helm for the Golden Eagles and holds a 130-140 overall head coaching record.
   
• ORU was picked to finish sixth in Summit League Preseason Poll.
