About the Opponent
  • The Golden Hurricane were picked to finish ninth in the American Athletic preseason poll. The team is currently 3-0 to start the season. In their last game, they beat Florida A&M, 79-57.
     
  • TU returns eight letterwinners from last season, including four starters, and welcomed four newcomers.
     
  • Freshman forward Temira Poindexter began her collegiate career with a 23-point performance against Duquesne. She had eight field goals, including two three-pointers, while hitting all five of her free throw attempts. Poindexter also added five rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes.
