TULSA, Okla. – For the first time since 1997, the Oral Roberts men's basketball team welcomes Oklahoma State to the Mabee Center when the teams meet Friday, Nov. 26 at 3 p.m.

• ORU turned to a stifling defense during a 60-point win over Rogers State Tuesday allowing the second-fewest points in a single game in program history giving up only 31, which was one shy of the record set back on Feb. 24, 1990. It was the third time the Golden Eagles have ever held a team to less than 40 points in a contest.
• The scoring duo of Max Abmas (16.8 ppg) and Issac McBride (15.5 ppg) are pacing the offense after combining to shoot 14-of-19 overall against RSU, including 8-of-12 from 3-point range.
• ORU is making 12.6 triples per game thanks to a school record 21 in its home opener against Southwestern Christian Nov. 12 and are sixth in the country in 3-pointers a contest.
• The Golden Eagles currently rank third in the NCAA pulling down 16.8 offensive rebounds a contest. Kareem Thompson and Francis Lacis are second and third in The Summit League in steals per game, respectively, as the pair are combining for 3.8 steals each outing, while Lacis leads the conference averaging 1.5 blocks per game.
• Despite winning a conference tournament title last year, ORU was picked to finish third in The Summit League Preseason Poll, behind South Dakota State and North Dakota State.
• The Golden Eagles return 10 letterwinners, including three starters, and add five new faces for 2021-22 with two transfers and three freshmen.
 
Scouting the Opponent
• ORU is 5-18 in the all-time series against the Cowboys having dropped the previous three meetings on the road, including a five-point loss in each of the last two seasons. Friday marks OSU's first trip to the Mabee Center since January 29, 1997.
• The Cowboys come to Tulsa on a four-game win streak following a decisive, 96-66 victory over Charleston Monday. During the streak, OSU is winning by an average of 17.8 points.
• OSU ranks fifth in the NCAA forcing opponents into 22.2 turnovers a game and also are seventh in blocked shots (7.3) and steals (12.5) a contest. Kalib Boone (10.3 ppg) and Bryce Thompson (10.2 ppg) lead the offense, while Moussa Cisse posts 8.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks a game.
