About the Opponent

• The Shockers were picked to finish eighth in the American Athletic preseason poll. The team is currently 6-1 to start the season. In their last game, they beat Northwestern State, 70-61.
   
• TU returns eight letterwinners from last season, including five starters.
   
• A win for the Shockers will give them a 7-1 start to the season which would be the best start to a season in program history through eight games.

• ORU will face Wichita State in its seventh game of the season. The Golden Eagles look for their first road win of the season.
   
• It will be the 22nd time the two teams have faced each other in program history. ORU holds the all-time record, 12-9. In their last meeting, the Golden Eagles defeated Wichita State, 79-66, at the Mabee Center in 2019.
   
• The Golden Eagles are coming off back-to-back wins over Arkansas State and Little Rock.
   
• Senior Keni Jo Lippe was named to the preseason All-Summit League Second Team. She averages 10.7 points per game so far this season. In her career, she has totaled 1,522 points and 600-plus rebounds. She is the 21^st member of the ORU women's basketball 1,000-point club.
   
• ORU adds five newcomers to the roster. Two freshmen, Tirzah and Trinity Moore, and three transfers, Hannah Cooper, Delaney Nix and Katie Scott.
   
• Head Coach Misti Cussen is in her 10th season at the helm for the Golden Eagles and holds a 132-141 overall head coaching record.
   
• ORU was picked to finish sixth in Summit League Preseason Poll.
