TULSA, Okla. – Coming off a rivalry win, the Oral Roberts men's basketball team begins a three-game road stretch Thursday night at TCU. The opening tip is slated for 7 p.m. with live audio available on the ORU Sports Network.

• ORU brought the Mayor's Cup back to campus for the first time since 2015 after taking down Tulsa, 87-80, behind a 38-point performance from Max Abmas. The junior hit all eight of his free throws in the final minute and a DeShang Weaver block sealed the win.
• Abmas (22.3 ppg), Issac McBride (12.0 ppg) and Weaver (10.9) all score in double figures to lead the Golden Eagles offense, which ranks ninth in the NCAA at 87.4 per game.
• After scoring 20-plus points in each of his last three outings, Abmas moved up to ninth in the nation in points per game. The junior needs two made 3-pointers to tie Eric Perry (1996-2000) for fifth in program history as he has hit 212 in his career.
• ORU is hitting 13.6 triples per game to lead the country thanks to a school-record 21 against Southwestern Christian and 19 versus Tulsa.
• The Golden Eagles currently rank 12th in the NCAA pulling down 43.4 rebounds a contest. Francis Lacis and Kareem Thompson are third and sixth in The Summit League in rebounds per game, respectively, as the pair have combined for 14.1 boards each outing.
• Despite winning a conference tournament title last year, ORU was picked to finish third in The Summit League Preseason Poll, behind South Dakota State and North Dakota State.
 
Scouting the Opponent
• ORU is 1-3 all-time when facing the Frogs and dropped the previous three meetings, including a 79-62 setback in 2018.
• TCU is 4-0 at home this season and suffered its only loss of the year at Santa Clara Nov. 22. The Frogs are coming off back-to-back wins over Pepperdine and Austin Peay.
• TCU averages 16.3 offensive rebounds a contest ranking fourth in the country and are 11th in the NCAA with a +11.7 rebounding margin. Emanuel Miller ranks 20th in the country posting three double-doubles and leads the Big 12 grabbing 8.0 boards per game. Mike Miles Jr. leads the Frogs scoring 16.0 points per game having reached double figures in all six outings.
