WICHITA, Kan. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team fell at Wichita State, 78-62, Wednesday evening in Wichita, Kansas.
The home team came out on a 14-2 run to take an early lead. Kansas native
Faith Paramore got the Golden Eagles on the board, followed by a pair of free-throws by
Keni Jo Lippe.
Delaney Nix hit back-to-back three-point shots to spark a 13-2 ORU run. The run brought the team to within three and eventually to within one in the second quarter. A 12-2 run for the Shockers in the second gave the team a 43-33 advantage at the half.
ORU went on an 11-0 run get to within 1 in the third. Despite the Golden Eagles getting to within five twice in the fourth quarter, the Shockers pulled away at the end to win, 78-62. Down the stretch, ORU went a season-high 19-for-26 from the free-throw line with
Katie Scott finishing the night, 9-for-10 from the charity stripe.
Three Golden Eagles scored in double-digits. It is the second consecutive game that multiple players have scored in double figures. Scott led the team with 17 points,
Hannah Cooper recorded 10 and
Tirzah Moore captured 15 points.

Katie Scott scored 17 points and had eight rebounds.
Tirzah Moore also grabbed eight boards.
Wichita State: Mariah McCully scored 24 points and Jane Asinde grabbed 13 rebounds.
