TULSA, Okla. – After a difficult road split last weekend, the schedule doesn't get any easier as the Oral Roberts men's basketball team hosts Summit League preseason favorite South Dakota State Feb. 13 and 14 at the Mabee Center.
The Golden Eagles look to break a seven-game losing streak to the Jackrabbits with full coverage available through the ORU Sports Network and ORU Athletics app featuring free video, while local radio coverage can be heard on 99.9FM ESPN Radio.

Scouting the Opponent        
• The Golden Eagles are 9-16 all-time against the Jackrabbits having lost 13 of the previous 14 meetings with their only win January 2017 in that stretch coming at home.
• SDSU has had two league series canceled this season, but remains 5-1 and in second place due to its winning percentage. The Jacks are coming off a split at home against in-state rival South Dakota.
• The Jacks have four players scoring in double figures per game led by Noah Freidel's 17.1 a game, while Baylor Scheierman is top 10 nationally in double-doubles posting 14.2 ppg and 9.6 rpg.

• ORU battled to a series split in hostile territory at North Dakota State last weekend falling 61-54 in game one posting its lowest offensive output of the season. The Golden Eagles fought back and led wire-to-wire taking game two 80-74. Kevin Obanor led ORU with 24.5 points and 14.0 rebounds a game earning his third Summit League Player of the Week honor of the year, while Max Abmas also scored 20-plus points in both games as the pair combined to average 47 points per game leading the team to its first win at NDSU since Feb. 4, 2012.
• The Golden Eagles rank second in the NCAA, behind only Citadel, hitting 11.1 3-pointers per contest, led by Abmas, who jumped to third in the country making 3.5 per game. ORU also is the only NCAA team with two players in the top 35 in individual scoring per game.
• Abmas ranks seventh nationally in scoring averaging 21.7 points per game and needs 183 to reach 1,000 for his career. He also sits second in the league with a 2.0 assist to turnover ratio.
• Obanor has pulled down a league-leading 170 rebounds this season to rank 21st in total boards, while his nine double-doubles are seventh in the country. The redshirt junior also climbed to 35th in the NCAA scoring 19.8 ppg after his eighth game of 20 or more points this year at NDSU Saturday,
• ORU remains one of the best free-throw shooting teams in the nation hitting 79.7 percent of its attempts to rank seventh overall and the top of The Summit League this season.
• ORU was picked to finish second in The Summit League Preseason Poll behind only defending regular season co-champion South Dakota State.
• The Golden Eagles have eight new faces for 2020-21 with two grad transfers (RJ Glasper, Justin Lovvorn), two junior college transfers (Sheldon Stevens, Kareem Thompson) and four freshmen (Jonathan Alexandre, Jamie Bergens, Nate Clover III, Ismael Plet).
