Scouting the Opponent        
• The Golden Eagles have dominated the all-time series against the Fighting Leathernecks holding a 35-11 record winning three of the last four meetings, including a 113-70 victory at home last year.
• WIU is riding a five-game win streak, the longest current streak in The Summit League, and sits in seventh place in the standings heading into the final weekend after its bye week.
• The Leathernecks are the league's top rebounding team at 37.8 per game thanks to three players averaging more than five per game. Will Carius has been on fire of late leading WIU with 15.7 ppg and scored 19 or more points in six-consecutive outings, including a 34-point outburst Jan. 29 against North Dakota.

• ORU dropped a heartbreaker at South Dakota last Saturday in an offensive shootout, 86-84, as USD hit two free throws breaking the tie with 2.8 seconds remaining before game two was canceled for COVID. Abmas went off for 36 points matching his career high with seven made 3-pointers.
• The Golden Eagles continue to top the 3-point shooting ranks in the NCAA hitting 11.6 per contest, led by Abmas, who ranks third in the country making 3.9 per game. ORU moved up to 18th in the country averaging 81.2 ppg as the top scoring offense in the conference.
• After recording his seventh-straight game with at least 20 points, Abmas remains second nationally in scoring averaging 23.9 points per game and needs 75 points to reach 1,000 for his career. He also sits third in the league with a 1.7 assist to turnover ratio.
• Obanor has grabbed a league-leading 196 rebounds this season to rank 24th in all of college basketball, while his 10 double-doubles are 14th in the country. He currently ranks 14th in Golden Eagles history with 610 career rebounds.
• ORU remains one of the nation's best free-throw shooting teams sitting in second making 81.0 percent of its attempts with Abmas (89.5) and Obanor (86.8) in the top 50 of the NCAA at 14th and 46th, respectively, in free-throw percentage.
• ORU was picked to finish second in The Summit League Preseason Poll behind only defending regular season co-champion South Dakota State.
• The Golden Eagles have eight new faces for 2020-21 with two grad transfers (RJ Glasper, Justin Lovvorn), two junior college transfers (Sheldon Stevens, Kareem Thompson) and four freshmen (Jonathan Alexandre, Jamie Bergens, Nate Clover III, Ismael Plet).
