TULSA, Okla. – Back to the road for the Oral Roberts volleyball team as it heads to South Dakota for two matches against the Coyotes March 6 & 7 at 1 p.m.
 
OPENING SERVE
•ORU begins the second-half of its Summit League schedule on the road at defending regular season champion, South Dakota.
 
•Libero Sarah Thiessen and outside hitter Aixa Vigil were named Summit League Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week Feb. 9 for their efforts leading the Golden Eagles to two road wins over the Leathernecks.
 
•The Golden Eagles have three players that have crossed the century mark in kills as Kaia Dunford and Aixa Vigil lead the team with 119, while Jaxie Wakley has 106.
 
•Thiessen is third in the league totaling 199 digs and has reached double figures in every outing, including four, 20+ dig efforts with a career-best 36 Feb. 8. Her 36 digs remains the most by anyone in the conference this season.
 
•Vigil has posted a double-double in six of eight matches played and reached double-digit kills in every outing.
 
•Wakley excels at the net posting 44 total blocks and is one of six players in the league averaging a block per set.
 
•ORU setter Bryanne Soares has tallied at least 35 set assists in each of her last five outings, including a 54-assist effort Feb. 15. She moved up to sixth in the league averaging 7.2 assists per set since taking the starting role.
 
•The Golden Eagles have pushed six of eight Summit League contests into five sets, but are 1-5 overall when playing a fifth set.
 
•USD has dominated the net on its way to a 7-1 mark in league play boasting three of the conference's top four in total blocks with Madison Harms ranking 17th in the NCAA totaling 64 blocks. Offensively, Elizabeth Juhnke tops the league with 4.2 kills per set and 178 total kills ranking in the nation's top 50 in both categories.
 
•ORU was predicted to finish seventh in The Summit League standings following a quarterfinal exit at last year's conference championships.
 
•Head Coach Frank Craig III added six players in his first recruiting class with the Golden Eagles as four freshmen and two junior college transfers joined the program. Kaia Dunford (Waimanalo, Hawaii), Chloe Salcedo (Garland, Texas), Bryanne Soares (Kapolei, Hawaii) and Jaxie Wakley (Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) enter the collegiate ranks for the first time. Rami Mose (Compton, California) and Aixa Vigil (Surquillo, Peru) made the move to ORU after starting in junior college.
