SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team's season came to close Saturday afternoon after an 89-66 loss to the No. 2 seed South Dakota Coyotes in the Summit League Championship Quarterfinal round in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Summit League Freshman of the Year
Tierney Coleman led the Golden Eagles with 21 points on the day going 4-for-6 from the three-point line. As ORU got down early by nine, Coleman led her team back to within five to end the first quarter. The Golden Eagles trailed by 12 at halftime, 43-31.
Regan Schumacher went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the first half.
Coleman recorded 13 third quarter points as ORU trailed by as much as 15 in the third, but went on an 8-2 run to pull to within seven with 2:14 left. The Golden Eagles made it a 60-55 game with 1:54 left in the third after a pair of free-throws by Coleman. ORU out-scored South Dakota, 26-23, in the third.
The Golden Eagles got as close again in the fourth as nine, but South Dakota's offense went on a 15-0 run in a five minute span. The Coyotes recorded 23 fourth quarter points on 60 percent shooting from the field. ORU recorded 11 three-point buckets on the day. The Coyotes closed out the game with an 89-66 advantage to advance to the semifinal round.

Oral Roberts:
Tierney Coleman captured 21 points and
Regan Schumacher grabbed seven rebounds.
South Dakota: Chloe Lamb scored 22 points and Hannah Sjerven captured a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
