KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Oral Roberts men's soccer team won Saturday evening at Kansas City after scoring two goals in 51 seconds in the final 90 seconds of regulation to send the game to overtime and win, 3-2.
Kansas City took a 1-0 lead in the 59
th minute with a goal by Cesar Mont Soler and then went up 2-0 in the 65
th minute with a Dontell Gilyard goal.
With 1:09 remaining on the clock,
Dante Brigida scored his sixth goal of the season with a goal on from the left side to make it a 2-1 match.
Andrew Nunez was credited with the assist.
Fifty one seconds left and ORU's
Phoenix Ibanez tied the game, 2-2, with a header goal on the right side, his first of the season. It was assisted by Brigida with a cross from left to right.
Reed Berry sent the golden goal to the back of the net in the 96
th minute to win the game for the Golden Eagles, 3-2. Berry shot from 18 yards out directly at the keeper and deflected the ball in the top of the net. Brigida and
Miles Motakef were credited with assists.
