TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team returns to the Mabee Center Thursday, January 20 to face the North Dakota Fighting Hawks at 7 p.m.
Thursday's game will be Star Wars Night at the Mabee Center. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars character and cheer on the Golden Eagles to victory. The Summit League Food Fight will be happening as well. Fans who bring a non-perishable canned food item will receive free admission to the game.

Max Abmas had his fifth consecutive 20-plus point outing with 26 at Kansas City. It was his 11th 20 point game this season. He led the team playing all 40 minutes and going 6-for-12 from the three-point line. The junior went 8-for-8 from the charity stripe.
• Abmas (23.1 ppg),
Issac McBride (10.2 ppg) and
Trey Phipps (10.0 ppg) average double figures to lead the Golden Eagles offense, which ranks 8th in the NCAA at 82.8 points per game.
• Behind two 38-point outings this season, Abmas now ranks 3rd in the nation in points per game and is 2nd in the country making 4.24 3-pointers a game. The junior recently moved past Eric Perry (1996-2000) for fifth in program history in career triples and has 259 in his tenure. He is currently 10th all-time in scoring with 1,527 career points.
• ORU is hitting 12.7 triples per game, to lead the nation, thanks to a school-record 21 against Southwestern Christian and 19 versus Tulsa. The team has made double-digit 3-pointers in 15 of 18 outings this season.
• The Golden Eagles currently rank 15th in the NCAA pulling down 41.0 rebounds a contest and 7th in the nation in defensive rebounds per game (29.8).
Scouting the Opponent
• This will be the 8th all-time meeting between ORU and North Dakota. The Golden Eagles lead the series, 4-3, and are 3-1 at home. ORU has won the past two game against the Fighting Hawks. In their last meeting, ORU defeated UND, 76-65, in the quarterfinal round of the Summit League Championship on March 7, 2021.
• The Fighting Hawks are currently on a six game losing streak, with their most recent game against St. Thomas being postponed. Thursday's game will be the first for UND since January 13. In their last outing, UND fell to Western Illinois, 73-68.
• North Dakota has two players averaging double-digits, Paul Bruns (13.7) and Tulsa native Caleb Nero (12.1). The Fighting Hawks are 30th in the nation in three-point field goal attempts and 53rd in total three-point field goals made.
