TULSA, Okla. – In its first home game in a month, the Oral Roberts men's soccer team returned to the Case Soccer Complex Saturday evening and won, 6-1, over league opponent Eastern Illinois.
The game started with five shots and two on goal for the Golden Eagles before any goals were scored. In the 12
th minute,
Reed Berry put ORU on the board first with his third goal of the season.
Schinieder Mimy sent a shot to the right side that was saved by the goalkeeper and deflected back into play for Berry to score. Mimy was credited with the assist.
In the 17
th minute,
Felipe D'Agostini scored the game winning goal on a penalty kick. It was D'Agostini's third goal of the season.
Josselyn Petel scored the third goal of the night for ORU in the 27
th minute. Petel sent the ball to the back of the net from 10 yards out from the left-center. His goal was assisted by
Shane Anderson and
Logan Bellone. Two minutes later, Petel scored his second goal of the night. Petel sent a header goal to the right side of the net from eight yards out on a cross from Anderson. It was Anderson's second assist on back-to-back goals.
Anderson got in on the action with his third goal of the season in the 34
th minute. Bellone sent the ball forward to
Damani Harris. Harris then sent a pass to the left to Anderson who had an empty net to score from the left side from eight yards out. Bellone and Harris each earned an assist.
Eastern Illinois' Prince Okonny scored the lone goal of the night for the Panthers. Okonny sent the ball to the upper left corner of the net for his first goal of the season in the 38
th minute.
In the 68
th minute,
Kyle Carey made it a 6-1 match.
Adrian Renteria threw the ball in to Anderson who then sent the ball to the middle to Carey. Carey sent a laser shot to the left side of the net from 18 yards out for his first goal of the season. Anderson and Renteria each claimed assists.
Overall, the Golden Eagle defense held the Panthers to seven total shots with only two on goal.

- ORU had 26 shots on the night with 12 on goal.
