#ORUVB Returns Home to Face North Dakota and North Dakota State

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team returns home to the Cooper Aerobics Center for two Summit League matches as they face off against North Dakota Thursday, October 27 and North Dakota State Saturday, October 29. First serve for Thursday's contest is slated for 7 p.m., while Saturday's match is set for 1 p.m.

Opening Serve
• ORU dropped their lone contest last week as they fell on the road in five sets to Kansas City Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Golden Eagles now sit in a tie for sixth place in the Summit League standings.

• Kaia Dunford led ORU in kills for the fourth straight match as the junior put down 21 on 51 swings for a season-best .373 attack percentage. For the season, Dunford ranks seventh in the league in digs (261) and 12th in kills (228).

• Middle blocker Sakira LaCour registered nine blocks at Kansas City to extend her season total to 108, which ranks fourth in the Summit League and 17th nationally.

• Outside hitter Trinity Freeman continues to lead the Golden Eagles in kills this season as the sophomore has recorded 250, which ranks ninth in the league.

• As a team, ORU leads the Summit League in digs per set (15.93) and ranks second in total attacks (3,132) and attacks per set (37.29). Nationally, the Golden Eagles sit 16th in attacks per set.

• In the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Golden Eagles were selected to finish fourth, garnering 53 votes. Middle blocker LaCour and outside hitter Freeman were selected as the Preseason Players to Watch for the Golden Eagles as voted on by the league's 10 head coaches. In 2021, LaCour was a First Team All-Summit League performer, while Freeman was named to the All-Freshman Team. 

• Head Coach Frank Craig III is in his third season at the helm of the Golden Eagles and returned nine letterwinners from a season ago. In the offseason, Craig welcomed freshmen Kyla Randall, Kedron Burk, Natassia Baptiste and Serena Kohler to the roster, along with Utah State transfer Kalena Vaivai.

Inside the Matchup: North Dakota
• Thursday's match marks the 10th meeting all-time and second this season between ORU and North Dakota.

• The Fighting Hawks claimed the first meeting of the season back on Oct. 1 in straight sets and lead the all-time series 5-4.

• In the Summit League standings, UND currently sits fourth.

Inside the Matchup: North Dakota State
• ORU and NDSU meet for the 35th time Saturday afternoon. 

• The Bison swept the Golden Eagles back on September 29 and lead the all-time series 22-12.

• In the Summit League standings, NDSU ranks second.
