#ORUWBB Downs Oklahoma Christian in Exhibition, 90-63

TULSA, Okla. – Tirzah Moore poured in 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as the Oral Roberts women's basketball team defeated Oklahoma Christian, 90-63, in an exhibition Tuesday afternoon inside the Mabee Center.

Hannah Cooper (17), Delaney Nix (13) and Ruthie Udoumoh (13) joined Tirzah Moore in double-figures on the day. Cooper also dished out a game-high six assists in the win.

The Golden Eagles raced out to a 10-0 start behind the two three-pointers from Nix before OC broke the run with a Brooklin Bain jumper. A Cooper triple prior to the media timeout followed by a Tirzah Moore layup out of the stoppage stretched the ORU lead to 20-6 with 4:20 remaining in the quarter. After the Eagles trimmed the advantage to 12, 24-12, the Golden Eagles closed the quarter on a 5-0 run to take their largest lead of the half, 29-12.

OC opened the second period on a 6-0 run before Lauren Ramey stopped the bleeding with a layup at the 8:06 mark. Following a layup by Trinity Dobbs that cut the Golden Eagle lead to 10, 37-27, ORU responded with an 8-1 run that stretched their advantage to 45-28 as 1:21 remained on the clock. OC closed the half with back-to-back baskets as the Golden Eagles headed into the break with a 45-31 lead.

In the third, the two sides traded the opening 12 points before a pair of Tirzah Moore free throws put ORU back up by 16, 53-37, at the 6:47 mark. After OC cut the lead to 12, 57-45, a Tirzah Moore fastbreak layup sparked a 10-2 finish to the quarter for the Golden Eagles as they pushed their advantage to 20, 67-47. Cooper and Tirzah Moore combined for 15 of the team's 22 points in the third.

Following a Cooper layup to open the fourth, OC cut the lead to 15, 72-54, with a 7-0 run as 6:18 remained in the contest. Trinity Moore stopped the Eagle surge with her first triple of the contest off a Maggie Sockey assist. ORU later took their largest lead of the contest, 90-62, behind an 11-0 stretch that was sparked by a Tirzah Moore putback and capped off by a Trinity Moore jumper with :16 ticks left on the clock. A pair of free throws by Shiloh Fletcher capped off the scoring as the Golden Eagles claimed a 90-63 victory.

THE LEADERS
Oral Roberts: Tirzah Moore, a Preseason All-Summit League First Team member, picked up where she left off a season ago as the sophomore tallied 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead all players. Cooper followed with 17 points and a game-high six assists.

Oklahoma Christian: Bain was the lone Eagle to record double-figures on the day as the junior finished with 13 points to go along with five rebounds.
                                                                                                                                                  
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- ORU held the Eagles to 34.3 percent shooting from the field and 20 percent from deep.
- The Golden Eagles knocked down eight threes, four of which came from Nix.
- ORU finished 16-of-18 from the foul line on the day.
- As a team, the Golden Eagles won the battle on the boards, 48-44.
- Ramey contributed on the glass with seven rebounds.
- Udoumoh swiped a game-high four steals as ORU recorded 14 in the win.
