TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team returns home to the Mabee Center for their 2022-23 home opener Wednesday night as they host Wichita State at 7 p.m.

• In home openers, ORU is 34-13 all-time and has won 17 of their last 18. 

• The Golden Eagles are still in search of their first win of the 2022-23 campaign after falling on the road to Oklahoma State, 103-66, Monday night. 

• Ariel Walker made her season debut for the Golden Eagles off the bench and scored a career-high 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting. 

• The reigning Summit League Peak Performer of the Week, Hannah Cooper, poured in 14 points and dished out four assists. Through the first three games, Cooper ranks sixth nationally in free throws made (19) and eighth in total points (68). 

• Preseason All-Summit League First Team selection Tirzah Moore continues to average a double-double on the year with 12 points and 11 rebounds per game. On the season, Moore sits 16th nationally in total rebounds (33). 

• Through the first three contests, the Golden Eagles lead the Summit League in scoring (81.3).

• ORU is currently in the midst of a difficult non-conference schedule that features three 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifiers, four Power 5 opponents and seven road contests.

• The Golden Eagles are led by head coach Kelsi Musick, who enters her first season at the helm. Musick and her staff returned six players from last season's squad and welcomed eight newcomers, three freshmen and five transfers, in the offseason.

• In her 14th season as a head coach, Musick holds a 259-128 career record.

• In the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Golden Eagles were selected to finish third.

• Wednesday's contest marks the 23rd meeting all-time between ORU and Wichita State.

• The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series, 12-10, but have dropped two of the last three, including last season's meeting in Wichita, Kansas, 78-62.

• In Tulsa, Oklahoma, ORU is 8-2 all-time against the Shockers.

• In the American Preseason Coaches' Poll, Wichita State was picked to finish 10th. In the offseason, the Shockers had to replace four starters from a season ago.
