TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team closes out their 2022 season with a pair of Summit League road matches at Western Illinois Thursday, Nov. 17 and St. Thomas Saturday, Nov. 19. First serve for Thursday's match is set for 6 p.m., while Saturday's contest is slated for noon.

Opening Serve
• ORU is looking to snap a seven-match losing streak as they head into Thursday's contest.

• Middle blocker Sakira LaCour continues to be one of the top blockers in the Summit League as the senior ranks fourth with 119. The Albuquerque, New Mexico, native currently sits sixth all-time in program history with 345 career blocks.

• Trinity Freeman leads the ORU offensive attack as the sophomore has registered 315 kills, which ranks eighth in the Summit League.

• Outside hitter Kaia Dunford tops the Golden Eagles in digs with 322, which is good enough for 10th in the Summit League. The junior also sits 10th in the league in kills with 300.

• As a team, ORU ranks 15th nationally in attacks per set with 37.47.

• In the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Golden Eagles were selected to finish fourth, garnering 53 votes. Middle blocker LaCour and outside hitter Freeman were selected as the Preseason Players to Watch for the Golden Eagles as voted on by the league's 10 head coaches. In 2021, LaCour was a First Team All-Summit League performer, while Freeman was named to the All-Freshman Team. 

Inside the Matchup: Western Illinois
• Thursday's match marks the 52nd meeting all-time between ORU and Western Illinois.

• The Golden Eagles swept the Leathernecks back on October 11 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and lead the all-time series, 45-6.

• Western Illinois is currently on a 19-match losing streak.

Inside the Matchup: St. Thomas
• ORU and St. Thomas meet for the fourth time Saturday afternoon. 

• The Golden Eagles swept the Tommies back on September 27 inside the Cooper Aerobics Center and lead the all-time series, 3-0.

• ORU has yet to drop a set to St. Thomas in the series.
