#ORUWBB Battles Tulsa for Mayor's Cup Sunday

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team travels to face crosstown rival Tulsa for the Mayor's Cup Sunday at 1 p.m. inside the Reynolds Center.

Sunday's contest will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Chad McKee and Pooh Williamson on the call. An audio broadcast of the game can be found on the ORU Sports Network with Ryan Breeden on the call. Fans can also follow along with the game on ORU's Twitter, @ORUWBB.

PARKING: Due to the Route 66 Marathon there are some street closures around the TU campus. Fans are encouraged to park in the Reynolds Lot (enter off 8th or 11th Streets) or the Harvard Lot (enter off Harvard near 7th Street). For a list of street closures, click here!

Quick Hits

• The Golden Eagles are in search of their first win of the 2022-23 campaign after falling in their home opener Wednesday night to Wichita State, 89-67.

• Preseason All-Summit League First Team selection Tirzah Moore registered her second double-double of the season and fifth of her career in the contest after pouring in 17 points and pulling down 14 boards against the Shockers.

• The sophomore currently sits fifth in the nation in rebounds (47), seventh in blocks (10) and 10th in double-doubles.

• The reigning Summit League Peak Performer of the Week Hannah Cooper continued her strong start to the season as the senior finished with a team-best 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

• Cooper currently ranks fourth nationally in points (87), fourth in free throws made (21) and seventh in field goals made (30).

• Four Golden Eagles enter Sunday's contest averaging double-figures on the year in Cooper (21.8), Moore (13.3), Ruthie Udoumoh (11.3) and Ariel Walker (11.0).

• ORU is currently in the midst of a difficult non-conference schedule that features three 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifiers, four Power 5 opponents and seven road contests.

• The Golden Eagles are led by head coach Kelsi Musick, who enters her first season at the helm. Musick and her staff returned six players from last season's squad and welcomed eight newcomers, three freshmen and five transfers, in the offseason.

• In her 14th season as a head coach, Musick holds a 259-129 career record.

• In the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Golden Eagles were selected to finish third.


Inside the Matchup

• Sunday's contest marks the 45th edition of the Mayor's Cup between ORU and Tulsa.

• The Golden Eagles hold a 33-11 edge in the crosstown rivalry but have lost three straight, including last season's meeting inside the Mabee Center, 69-55.

• As the road team, ORU holds a 15-6 advantage over the Golden Hurricane.

• In the offseason, Tulsa returned seven players from last year's WNIT team and was picked to finish third in the American Preseason Coaches' Poll.

• The Golden Hurricane are coming off their first loss of the season on the road at Arkansas, 79-70.
