LUBBOCK, Texas – Despite a game-high 30 points from Hannah Cooper, the Oral Roberts women's basketball team dropped their final non-conference contest of the season at Texas Tech, 82-68, Wednesday evening in Lubbock, Texas.

Cooper's 30-point performance was the senior's second of the campaign and marked the sixth time that she has led the Golden Eagles in scoring this season. The El Paso, Texas, native also hauled in a team-best six rebounds, registered a game-high tying four steals and dished out three assists.

Makenna Winans and Ariel Walker joined Cooper in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively. For Winans, the 12 points marked a season-high. Off the bench, Nena Taylor contributed with eight points and five rebounds.

The Lady Raiders jumped out to a 12-0 start before a Cooper layup broke the run with 5:01 remaining in the opening quarter. After Texas Tech extended their advantage to 16-2 at the 4:04 mark, the Golden Eagles responded with an 8-2 stretch to cut the deficit to eight, 18-10, with 2:22 left in the first. Six of the final eight points went the way of the Lady Raiders as they took a 24-12 lead into the second.

Following a pair of free throws from the Lady Raiders that pushed their advantage to 15, 31-16, at the 6:34 mark, the two sides went scoreless for 2:56 before Winans broke the drought with a jumper. Winans' basket sparked an 11-2 run as ORU trimmed the deficit to six, 33-27, at the break. In the quarter, the Golden Eagles held Texas Tech to only nine points.

An 8-0 run by the Lady Raiders out of the break stretched their lead back to double-digits, 43-29, at the 7:30 mark. Following a Cooper layup, the Lady Raiders pushed their run to 17-2 to take their largest lead of the contest, 50-31, with 4:46 left in the third. ORU answered with a 9-0 stretch to trim the deficit to 10, 52-42, as 2:24 showed on the clock. Winans jumpstarted the run with her second three of the contest and Taylor capped it off with her first triple of the evening. The two sides traded the final 16 points as Texas Tech took a 10-point lead into the fourth, 60-50.

Back-to-back layups from Cooper and Lauren Ramey drew the Golden Eagles back to within single digits, 69-60, with 6:04 left in the contest. That was as close as ORU would get as they were outscored 13-8 over the final six minutes as they fell 82-68.
