TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team returns to the Mabee Center Saturday, Feb. 12 to face the Kansas City Roos at 7 p.m.

Max Abmas led the Golden Eagles with 33 points in the second half against Western Illinois. Elijah Lufile was the team's leading scorer with 25 points on 11-for-14 shooting with 13 rebounds for his second double-double of the season in the team's home win over St. Thomas.
 
• Abmas (23.0 ppg), Issac McBride (11.1 ppg) average double figures to lead the Golden Eagles offense, which ranks 5th in the NCAA at 83.5 points per game. ORU has eight players who have scored 100-plus points this season.
 
• Behind two 38-point outings this season, Abmas now ranks 2nd in the nation in points per game and is leading the country making 4.22 3-pointers a game. The junior recently moved past Eric Perry (1996-2000) for fifth in program history in career triples and has 284 in his tenure. He is currently 10th all-time in scoring with 1,663 career points.
 
• ORU is hitting 12.4 triples per game, which is 1st in the nation, thanks to a school-record 21 against Southwestern Christian and 19 versus Tulsa. The team has made double-digit 3-pointers in 19 of 24 outings this season.
 
• The Golden Eagles currently rank 11th in the NCAA pulling down 40.8 rebounds a contest and 3rd in the nation in defensive rebounds per game (29.8).
 
Scouting the Opponent
 
• This will be the 37th all-time meeting between ORU and Kansas City. The Golden Eagles lead the series, 26-11, and are 13-5 at home. In the first meeting this season, ORU won at Kansas City, 84-72.
 
• The Roos have won their last game four games. In their last game they defeated St. Thomas, 76-67, on the road. KC currently sits tied for third in the current Summit League standings.
 
• Kansas City has four players averaging double-digits with Evan Gilyard leading the way (15.6 ppg.). Arkel Lamar (13.1 ppg.), Marvin Nesbitt (12.0 ppg.) and Josiah Allick (11.4 ppg.) round out the scoring efforts.
 
• The Roos are 40th in the country in three-point defense and 41st in field goal percentage.
