#ORUWBB Falls to SDSU in League Semifinal

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team saw its season come to an end Monday afternoon and falling 72-53 in the Summit League semifinal game to South Dakota State in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
 
Tirzah Moore led ORU with 17 points on the day as she went 7-for-13 overall. The Golden Eagles had eight score in the semifinal game.
 
South Dakota State started the game scoring the first four points before ORU tied the game four minutes in. The Golden Eagles then took a three-point lead when Lippe hit her first three-point jumper of the game. A quick 6-0 run at the end of the first quarter lift SDSU back up by five and a Lippe free-throw made it a four point game at the end of the first 10 minutes. The Jacks went on an 8-0 run to force a three-plus minute drought for the Golden Eagles to go into the locker room up, 32-20, at the half.
 
The Jackrabbits went up by as much as 23 in the third quarter as ORU was held to just 10 points. The Golden Eagles were able to cut the deficit to 16 with a layup by Tirzah Moore with six minutes to play in the game. South Dakota State then went on a 10-0 run to lead by 29 with three minutes to go. ORU went on a 10-0 run of its own to close out the game and to make it a 72-53 final.
 
Fifth-year senior Keni Jo Lippe will go down in ORU women's basketball history as the seventh best all-time scorer to wear the blue and gold. Lippe finished her career with a total of 1,742 points and 705 rebounds. Regan Schumacher also checked out for the final time Monday to close out her five seasons. Schumacher recorded 608 points and 600-plus rebounds for her career. The two seniors closed out their careers in front of a crowd of 6,518 inside the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

Oral RobertsTirzah Moore scored 17 points in the game and Katie Scott and Schumacher had eight rebounds each.
South Dakota State: Paiton Burckhard and Myah Selland each had 16 points and Burckhard also had eight rebounds.
