TULSA, Okla. – The ORU men's soccer team did not allow a shot on goal as the Golden Eagles defeated Incarnate Word Monday evening, 4-0, at the Case Soccer Complex.

ORU came out swinging with seven shots in the first half. The Golden Eagles jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a goal by Carlos Santamaria in the 15th minute. Santamaria captured his third goal of the season when he stole the ball from a Cardinal defender and went one-on-one with the keeper to score from 15 yards out. His goal was unassisted.

With a 1-0 lead at halftime, it wasn't until the 61st minute that the Golden Eagles would make it a 2-0 match. Joel Quashie scored his first goal of the season off a tip ball from the right side. Shane Anderson sent the ball to the middle from Felipe Medina to give Quashie the chance from the right post with a tough angle. Anderson and Medina were credited with assists.

Ten minutes later Reed Berry scored his first goal of the season with a header goal on the left side. Andrew Nunez crossed the ball to the left post and Berry scored from six yards out. Nunez received the ball from Medina to create the play and they each earned an assist.

Anderson made it a 4-0 advantage for ORU in the 76th minute. Nunez created his second assist of the game with a cross into the penalty area to Anderson. Anderson then found the seam between the defender and goalkeeper to hit the back of the net.

The Golden Eagles ended the second half with 10 shots as the defense held UIW to just three in the second 45 minute stanza. ORU's defense was so dominate that it did not allow UIW a shot on goal in the match.
