TULSA, Okla. – The ORU Women's Soccer team ends its four-game home stand with a 4-1 win Thursday night against Mid-America Christian at the Case Soccer Complex.
The Golden Eagles came out on fire, scoring three goals in the first half.
Kennedy Langebartels picked up where she left off and netted the first goal of the evening at the six minute mark. Langebartels rocketed it from outside the goal box, coming off of an assist by
Samantha Guzman.
ORU scored the next goal of the match at the 17 minute mark.
Julia Thasaphong recorded her first goal of the match and her third goal of the season. Her goal came off of an assist from
Samantha See. Thasaphong almost matched Langebartels' goal with the distance and location.
The Golden Eagles did not let up there. The third goal was scored by
Samantha See off of an impressive assist from
Julia Thasaphong. Thasaphong dribbled down the left side of the field, drew the goalie out of the box and beat her. She crossed the ball to See who had an easy finish to the back of the net.
The next goal of the evening was scored by the Evangels. Angel Toledo scored her first goal of the season and of the match at the 43
rd minute mark. Her goal came off of an assist by Kadin Stinson.
ORU kept the same intensity in the second half, tallying three more shots than the first half.
The score remained the same, 3-1, until
Mia Kitterman knocked one in for the Golden Eagles. Her second goal of the season came from a pass up the middle from
Kennedy Langebartels.
Not only were the Golden Eagles on the attack in the second half, the ORU defense only allowed one shot in the second half.

"I thought tonight was a good night. I thought we played some really good soccer, we tried a new system and it created quite a bit for us. Like I've always said, winning games at this level is hard, but in the second half we only gave up one shot, so I like where we're at. We continue to grow and now we focus on getting ready for Sunday."
