LUBBOCK, Texas – The Oral Roberts volleyball team dropped their final match of the Red Raider Classic in four sets () to Arizona State Saturday afternoon inside the United Supermarkets Arena.Â

Sakira LaCour was named to the Red Raider Classic All-Tournament Team after finishing the weekend with 26 kills and 17 blocks.Â
In the opening set, the Sun Devils jumped out to a 4-1 start before ORU responded with a 4-1 run of their own to cut the deficit to one, 8-7. ASU answered with eight of the next 10 points to stretch their advantage to 16-9. A
Natassia Baptiste kill snapped the Sun Devil run and sparked a 4-0 surge for the Golden Eagles as they cut the deficit to 16-13. After ORU got within two, 19-17, ASU scored three straight points to take command of the set as they went on to win 25-20.
Arizona State raced out to an 8-2 start in the second stanza and never looked back. The Sun Devils later used a 9-0 run to take a 20-4 lead as they went on to take the set, 25-8.
Trinity Freeman sparked a 6-1 start for the Golden Eagles in the third set with her fourth kill of the match. A 4-1 run for the Sun Devils brought them to within one, 9-8. With the score level at 22-22, ORU tallied three of the final four points to claim the set, 25-23. The third stanza featured a total of nine ties.
In the final set, the Sun Devils scored the first seven points before
Kalena Vaivai broke the run with a kill. Trailing 19-9, the Golden Eagles used a 6-1 run to cut the deficit to five, 20-15. ASU responded with the final five points of the set to take the match.
